More observations from the Tarot of the III Millennium... 1. The Knights - the card images show what will happen to them if they don't curb their enthusiasm. In each case, that knight, that paragon of daring do, ends up in a bad state. The dogged pursuit of material things leaves him a grasping, lonely king. All of them end up that way. 2. The Queens - so virtuous and proper as the mother of their suits. They are very different in "real" life than what we imagine. Harridans, hags, questionable virtue... 3. The Kings - Might equals Right? Does power corrupt? Hmmm...one ends up on the gallows, another a pauper... makes you wonder. It is a fascinating deck and brings some interesting insights to the table. One of my faves: 6 of Coins - a man and his dog. Just chillin' How cool is that? |

No decision as yet on which deck to choose for next week - but I am tempted to go with the Universal Fantasy deck (which I bought after seeing it on AJ's blog several weeks ago now). |

I got so many new decks the last 2 months, about 13 I think. But only 2 that really pulls at me - the Sheridan-Douglas that I already used and the Dame Fortune's wheel so that is the one I will devote some time. Or Langustl! lol so ok 3 decks... I'll flip for it tomorrow. Unless anyone here can help me decide - which deck should I blog on next week? Langustl or Dame Fortune's Wheel? __________________ To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. I vote Dame Fortune's Wheel, mostly because I'm terribly interested in seeing someone else's reactions to it -- I am completely torn about whether I love it or hate it. It's in my line-up for DOTW eventually. |

Random.Org pushed out Silicon Valley first time 'round. I am pretty happy about that! I had an interesting "Final Words" from the Tarot of the III Millennium. I will miss it - but it is good in small doses, I think. I am looking forward to the geeky fun of the Silicon Valley tarot, though. |

I got this Oracle specificly because it is Eurasian and would have some of the Birds my gransmothers would have known and seen. Elizza lived (traveled with the circus) anywhere between southern France, Denmark and Poland and Grandma Aniani and great gran Ulaly lived in Siberia...... This deck however has some strange settings for its birds and also features some weird combinations of gemstones and associations.... __________________ .....in the woods - Greenwoods and others.... |

I finally managed to do a big reading with the Dirty Tarot, and it worked very well. (I also managed to completely miss the point in a reading I did in the exchanges here.) Other than that, I didn't do much in this week, either, but since I was barely home at all, I'm not surprised. I'm already looking forward to using this deck again (I instantly loved it when I first discovered it, and that hasn't changed), and I'm leaving out the last reading I did to look at again, but I will now pick a new deck for next week. |

I've really enjoyed my time with the Women's Tarot and have started getting more comfortable with the switched elements. |

The Mountain Dream was lovely. Nice clear readings, and though I was worried it would feel too goofy and dated, that wasn't the case. I really liked the look of it, especially the different tints for different suits. This week is the Science Tarot! |
