Both Overhand and Riffle here. :)

Overhand :) I am pathologically incapable of riffle-shuffling a deck, anybody who has tried to teach me had to give up. Besides, I am not particularly attracted to it, aesthetically speaking. Don't know if this is the reason why I never learned or a consequence of this :D

Overhand.. I usually hold the deck lengthways / vertically so it's the short ends of the deck that are put together in the shuffle.

Mostly overhand with a riffle or two.

Generally just overhand. Though, if I can handle the deck, I may also incorporate the riffling between an overhand shuffle. For those extra large decks that I can barely hold in my hands--I put them down on the table and mix them up, then gather them up and straighten them back into a deck to read with.

:D

Riffle (casino) shuffle - always! LOL! And I learned to riffle shuffle without reversing the cards.

Although I worked in a casino (as a banker - not a dealer) - riffle was the most effective and 'fastest' way to shuffle the 8-10 packs of cards together used in a '21' game. When cards got beat up - rather quickly - less than a week, I believe - they pulled the deck out, drilled holes through them rendering them useless for the casino - and gave them to the patrons. {Obviously the casino was not buying $40 decks of cards to use for gambling!}

I voted other because , Riffle and then overhead until it feels right..

I have always been good at riffling even with tiny hands at age of 5.. :) - Just to clarify I didn't read tarot at age 5.. haha

I ruined my very first Tarot deck as a teen by riffle shuffling it, and I have torn cards trying to do that, as well as doing "weave" shuffle and overhand makes me nervous, as it seems like I collide the cards similarly doing that.

I picked "other" because I mostly do an over/under shuffle, which seems to be what the wiki article below calls a Mongean shuffle. I learned it from somebody here: Holding the deck in one hand i slide the top card to the other hand with my thumb, and then the bottom card with my fingers, and so on, stopping to reverse the cards every once in a while. I will mix it up by passing more than one card at a time, which randomizes less, but makes it quicker.

I will also do the old spread them all out on the table wash when reading for others, and will mix piles if I've been putting the cards in order to study.

The Mongean shuffle sounds interesting, though time consuming. I might try it, though.

Currently, I riffle. Overhand shuffling doesn't give me the amount of randomness I'd like and scrambling just seems inconvenient.
