With all the new material coming out, it's easy to overlook some of the remarkable traditional decks. All of the illustrated cards in the 1JJ are lovely, and La Lune may be my favorite. It consists of two images. On the top is a romantic image of a man with a mandolin and a hound by his side, serenading a woman on a balcony, with the moon overhead. On the bottom is a strange picture of a crustacean and two beetles(?). http://home.windstream.net/rlsaylor/lune.jpg

I know. I'm trying to erase it from my memory. Knowing ahclem, I suspect it is very HTF and expensive so I'm not even allowing myself to like it too much!

That's really interesting. It combines the popular associations of the Moon with the Tarot associations of the Moon! How can you go wrong? :)
