Fairytale Tarot (MRP) -- Two of Swords

Master_Margarita

The Two of Swords is represented in this deck by the traditional Polish tale of the Glass Mountain, which can be read in one version here. (The version listed in the companion book is has another subplot regarding the boy who eventually meets the Princess's challenge that does not appear at the above link).

The typical RWS image associated with this card is a seated girl holding up a barrier, and that's what's captured on this card. This princess, unlike many in fairy tales, has sought out this position of her own accord, and this conveys the Two of Swords theme of barricading oneself against the world.
