The petite Gnome manages to ellude the giant Paladin for the moment, one of the benefits of being only 3 1/2 feet tall.

player note*
I think he was saying the school was a joke, at least that's what it means in my part of the world.

Good Morning All! Hope everyone slept well. I certainly had a night filled with dreams. Hope I don't become a grandmother soon! haha. Or have my mother and my grandchildren living with me. eeks! Those kind of dreams can be quite appalling.

Avery and I are heading to China town for a perfect latte for me and a bar of fudge for him.

Might find a deck or two while out

Filida was sitting in her cabin recounting the prevous night's events. How lucky that her first meeting with a fellow traveler turned out to be a top class fighter - and a kindred spirit at that!

She had planned to get out early this morning, and see if she could either find her new friend, or maybe make another.

But looking at her Book of Days made her stop short. It was the 23rd! The Day of Weaving in her particular Dwarven clan-hold in the Khurtahk Mountains...a day of rest and making home items (ie, crochet class from 10:00 - 12:00).

And the most important thing about the 23rd was that it was her, and her husband Øystein's, 24th wedding anniversary (it really is our 24th today...)! And she was far, far from home.

So, she would stay in her cabin for much of the day preparing her orisons as usual, but also sending up prayers to Moradin to keep her lifemate out of trouble while she was gone. She would also pray to the lesser god, Hanseath (who covered specialized areas like boozing and brawling). To commemorate the two special events, she would spend the day yarnworking, making something special for Øystein that she could present him with once she reached home.

Mingling on the train may have to wait for later in the evening...
