Unfooled by the winsome face of the Orphan, I send "little" Willie scuttling off to a cabin. I know a sociopathic pint-sized felon when I smell one!

Keep an eye on that mangler, I will. It's always the sweet ones who can scale walls and have an extra row of teeth in their mouths... S'allright, this lot can take care of 'emselves. He'll find out soon enough. Put your hands in in the wrong pocket and you'll leave a knuckle or two behind.

Willie luxuriates, streatched out on the bunk. His bird perching near him. "See Taco, I tole you he was a nice man, look at this bunk, it's got actual sheets! We done landed soft, me bucko, you better believe it."
"Ribbit" replies the bird, and tucks his head under his wing. In a few moments they both are deeply asleep.

Moradia and the Rudy Monster head back to their beds. After a day of bargaining and a trade, some exercise for Rudy, and not to mention drinking and socializing, both are very tired and are quickly asleep.

The Paladin opens up his "bag of holding" and pulls out some recently acquired treasures." picked these up from a group f orc's who were at the right place at the wrong " time mutters the Paladin.

A deck has been chosen so the paladin packs his bag.

"You will enjoy this one, lots of thinking goes with it." says the Paladin out loud while thinking, Thought that clumsy assassin was going to pinch that deck! Could have added her head to my collection. Well its for the best I did not, never know when I will need her services, or head.

Da Vinci Enigma

Havane has woken up, donned her usual attire and lit a cigar. Trailing smoke, she makes her way to the carriage where the Paladin is spreading out his wares. He must be a down-on-his luck Paladin to have to sell his belongings in this way, she thinks. Her professional eye is caught - she always needs new ideas for her jobs...and that old crazy, Leonardo Da Vinci, had plenty of them...

She picks up the Da Vinci Enigma Tarot, smoke swirls round it...it would be so easy to hide it while the Paladin is looking elsewhere... stop it, lady, she says to herself - you're an assassin, not a thief.

"I'll have this one!" she announces in an imperious but polite tone. She never knows who she'll get a job from - or whom she'll have to kill on day - so she likes to keep potential customers and victims impressed but mollified.

Arduinna wakes up in her berth and rubs her eyes. The narrowness of the bed doesn't bother her and she has had a good night's sleep. All the more so, as using a trifle of magic the night before she had transformed the thin, patched grey blanket provided into a quilt of the loftiest Hungarian goose-down in a cover embroidered with elusive patterns of rainbow colours that shift and twist now as she stretches like a cat.

She reaches for her satchel and withdraws a one-ring camping stove. Time to brew up. A cluster of small paper bags emerge next, from which Arduinna mixes lady's mantle, nettle, marigold and raspberry leaf. "Even a druidic elf needs some herbal help at That Time of The Month".

Then she stiffens. Memories of the previous evening come flooding back. How could she have slept so soundly when an Assassin is hot on her trail. Hot being the word. It certainly doesn't seem the safest position to be in, especially when trapped on a moving train. And Havane may have a thing about that rocking motion .... it doesn't bear thinking about.

Arduinna swiftly withdraws another small package from her satchel, and grabs a few oak leaves from a side pocket. Scribbling some runes on the leaves, she burns them in the flame of her trusty stove, while swallowing a pinch of powder from the new package. Stretching like a feline has given her an idea.

"No-one will notice a small black cat."

Tobias whimpers in his sleep. He hasn't done that since he was a small(ish) pup and Raina is instantly alert, her small Elven handbow to hand.

"It's a wonder anyone sleeps on this train," she thinks to herself. "Dragons, drow, dancing dwarves."

Something has just passed their bolted door, and Raina has a strange sense of having been violated.

"Entirely too much magic going on around here," she muses. "And I'm an elf!!"

"Come, Tobias," she calls softly across the room. "Time to do some hunting."

The Lady and her Great Hound leave the room, clad in silence and darkness.
