Arrow New Orleans Voodoo Tarot - IX--Couche [The Hermit]

Initiates lay in fetal positions in a special, darkened hut as they prepare for their initiation ceremony. Lamps glow beside each bd. White chickens are at the foot of each bed. The initiates are dressed in white.

White: purity, innocence, peace
Lamps: light, illumination, knowledge. They have an aqua base and red neck  energy/passion, calm (dichotomy). The flames on the lamps are high  reach for knowledge let it burn brightly
Chickens: sustenance, wisdom
Hut: womblike  rebirth into new phase of life, but takes patience (gestation)
