? about Rider Waite Smith Deck

Hello,
I have a RWS deck in the familiar yellow box with the Magician on the front - the box states US Games - but the cards don't have the 1971 copyright on them in the corner. The backs are the regular criss-cross pattern. Were the earliest ones published without the 1971 on the cards??? Thanks!! :-)

The short answer is yes, the ones without copyrights are earlier.
