I did another reading for a friend today. She kept getting cards looking outside the box. We had to put down an enormous line of cards....But it all led somewhere, and she was amazed at how detailed the reading was getting. I was ready to hang myself! LOL, she didn't know I felt that way, but I kept thinking how many cards will this take....But the number sort of faded to insignificance. There were many people in life that let her down, that failed her as a child. For some reason, several of them came by today, and like all those years ago, passed the buck the the guy down the line. She went into some stuff today that was traumatic and she felt was appropriate given what her current situation happened to be-and it all tied into her parenting now. But I admit, even with my professional readings skills under my belt, and knowing how to handle a bigger more complex reading, I don't know if I could have done it without the foundational exercises that we did here. Not with those pips...and really the pips weren't the biggest part of the reading. Seriously, I can say that I will never be frightened of pips ever again. That is so empowering for me! Today was another big day. It took seeing Lark's reading and how she treated the pips to push me to another place yet again. For me, this is one of the more valuable groups I've participated in. I like tools. I like a toolbelt. Give me a tool, something concrete that I can use with a client. Don't give me hocus pocus and double talk about things that aren't going to actually empower me. This method of reading requires you to think about things, yes, so it is still work to create the reading. Of course! But with these methods in your hands like EE says, how can you not be able to get something out of the cards of value for the client. What I am finding is that I still am not consistently using each thing every time. I need to get quicker at looking at the cards and seeing the eye rhymes, seeing the layers of the cards, the rhythms, the expansion or contraction....it is sort of time consuming for me. In fact in the example EE used, that was a lunch out with a group of my friends. And we always end lunch with me doing readings. And wtih the first reading I sat for the longest time staring at those cards....and my girlfriend who is a tarot reader too, but sort of an armchair reader who still uses all the books and the LWB, was very impatient for me to start speaking! She couldn't wait for me to get on with it....and she thought I was trying to figure out how to give her bad news!!! So yes, I need to get much quicker at getting the sequence to lock in for me, or to get the Boom to happen as lark says! __________________ “Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace amid the storm.” The Gaia Shop Get Your Goddess On! VIII Swords IIII Swords La Maison Diev III Couppes I see something that started out small and then toppled because it outgrew itself. Someone cared enough to begin rebuilding it again, this time with with a team who have a passion to make it work properly. This gives me an immediate feeling of sadness that it was allowed to happen but over and above that, I good feeling of comerarderie to replace and repair. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Force IIII Deniers VI Swords This story tells me that someone has lost a possession to someone else and is determined to get it back. I think it will be a hard task because the one who has it has hidden it away well and doesn’t want to return it, although the real owner is being taunted having dropped their guard enough to allow this to happen. I feel a sense of deep loss and regret. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Valet De Bastons Lermite Royne De Bastons VII Swords A young man is trying to sell a possession against his mother’s will. She doesn’t like what’s going on, or the shifty looking man with the lantern who’s come to view it. While her son is determined to get some money, his mum is sat biting her lip and wondering if she’ll actually allow it to happen. Should she intervine? She’s ready to do battle and take them both on! I feel anger and unrest, as this situation is all wrong. __________________ ~ ~ ~ Hils ~ ~ ~ SOOD Keeper of the Spicey Wedges Keeper of Next Door's Cat Keeper of the Application Forms |

I had one other story to share with the group, from my readings the other day. I find the 4 of Coins a little weird. All I can think of most times is a TV or movie screen. There is a shield or crest in the middle, and my deck shows a bird on a footstool, the mini Camoin. Well one woman had gotten two sword cards and the last card was the 4 of Coins. Suddenly I could see how the Sword had, as Enrique says, fecundated or erupted into the 4 of Coins. What I saw was that the central vine in the 4 Coins was opening up, really, dilating like a woman does who is giving birth, and the resulting flowers and leaves were like growth that the sword had undergone. It was lovely!!! And there was still some residual bits of the sword left. Just above the top of the crest is a bit of hilt...I never really noticed that before. I showed the girls and they all saw it and were interested, but not as excited as I was about it. This is what is so funny to me. That we are all so excited about these discoveries, and well....no wonder the world thinks we are a bit strange. Not that I care about that....I just find it amusing when I notice it. Part of the lesson for me is trusting that I will see things and that the cards will reveal their secrets in their own time. __________________ “Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace amid the storm.” The Gaia Shop Get Your Goddess On! I am using maybe one of the systems...if something hits I don't always say, okay there is the eye rhyme, where is the rhythm? Or, there is the expansion and there some contraction...what is happening? How does it feel? I think those two questions are going to be my starting point. I think from there I can build and see the eye rhymes, see the other elements coming together. I do think eventually it all becomes automatic. It will all be sort of instantaneous...but until then it is sometimes an agonizingly slow process. Which is why Enrique has included all the exercises. the practice. I can understand how and why he went through the deck, playing with sequences, playing with combinations. Looking at the rhythms, listening for the sounds, sniffing the smells, all of it! I think that you have to befriend the TDM, or maybe let it befriend you. __________________ “Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace amid the storm.” The Gaia Shop Get Your Goddess On! Well, you either see, or you don't. When you don't see, no amount of "showing" will suffice, but when you see, there is no way of not seeing. Something I learned years ago wile teaching graphic design is that you can't give a person an answer for a question they haven't asked. People rarely see the relevance of an answer they don't need. I am very fond of Milton Erickson's work. In fact I believe anybody interested on creating meaningful relationships with other human beings should get familiar with his ideas. He said that a person will always be more enthusiastic about any process if they come for help than if they come for a demonstration. In other words, this findings are theoretically relevant for us because we are interested on learning the tarot, but they are pretty much irrelevant for others unless they are emotionally involved in the process by feeling they will benefit from it. Today you read and write without thinking about it. It isn't amazing? :-) Best, EE __________________ enrique enriquez/hieroglyphic terrorism CHOKING HASSARD: the future contains small parts that might be very easy to swallow. |

This stuff is revolutionary. Enrique busted right through all those walls of congealed dogma about Tarot and just let the air and the light pour in. I finally had to get the e book, too. This is actually ground-breaking stuff, it's entirely possible people could be talking about it years from now. I mean, I'm nobody's disciple or any of that. Not even Martin Luther King's or the Dalai Lama's. People are people. Everybody. AND I'm putting my neck on the chopping block here, running the risk of looking like a complete brown-nose. (Like most, I can't stand a brown-nose...) But this stuff is so exceptional, I just need to acknowledge the fact. And the fedora or whatever kind of hat that is, is sharp, too. Okay, I'm done. Back to what we were doing. |

Here's my exercise 2 cups/ 5 wands/ 7 coins How does this feel: the feeling came first so I will type it up in this order. It feels playful, and fun, a bit chaotic but in a fun kind of way. what is happening: A carnival has come to town. These cards all seem to be moving and spinning. Seems like a fair or festival, with lots of people, lots of movement and a fun playful atmosphere. Also as the sequence goes across, there's more and more movement. First the 2 of cups is like a back and forth motion. Then the 5 of wands spins, and int the 7 of coins, not only does it spin it also shifts the coins around with it. 9 swords/ 4 cups/ 9 wands All pips again. What is happening: The 9 of swords and 9 of wands are very dense, they seem to be trapping the 4 of cups which is less cluttered. The cups seem so delicate compared to the cards around it. Almost as if they are forced to stand straight in order by the two cards around them. How does this feel: Very oppressive and uncomfortable. Like one wrong move will make all this order fall apart. Valet de bastons/ 9 swords (again)/ ace of coins What is happening: So much easier that now theres a figure. The valet is putting the stick in the ground though all the dirt to get to the buried treasure. How does this feel: It feels like a very difficult task. It's very hard to get that thick stick in the ground. A lot of physical strength is needed. And very surprising that by some miracle it goes though and something comes out of it. Surprising that a nearly impossible task worked out. __________________ Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were once walls |

EE, I know we are winding down, and will pursue the reading exercises/practice that you have ready to spring on us. But I wondered, could you briefly discuss how you treat the majors and courts in readings. Do you give them any special considerations, do they stand up for you as people around your querent....and so forth. You must have some defs for the Majors...not that we need to get all of your secrets out of you....perhaps I need to get the Ebook! Anyway, at your discretion, and whatever you are comfortable sharing would be welcomed. I am thinking that I will be using the Marseille quite a bit in the coming weeks! For at least 30 weeks anyway! __________________ “Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace amid the storm.” The Gaia Shop Get Your Goddess On! (elf) |
