I saw Eden!
..in last night's dream. I was standing on a hill and down in the valley I could see a garden. Some parts of it were planted with small (young?) red-leafed trees which were arranged in a very orderly fashion, almost like a French 18th century garden, though less fanciful. Or a school of young trees. In between were lawns, and I could see people. Other areas were made up of tall and very ancient-looking trees, like you find them in ancient European forests. I knew this garden was paradise. Beyond the garden, which was relatively small, I could see playing fields and people playing football or hurling or something like that. I wondered whether something as mundane as that was part of Eden because otherwise it seemed somehow too small. But a voice - the entity that had guided me to this place - said that Eden was only the small bit in the foreground, but that it was much larger than the piece I could see, that there were 'portals' to the otherworld, the part of paradise that I couldn't see. The areas of ancient trees was one, for example. I longed to go there, and I could have done, but the voice that accompanied me said that in paradise there was only contentment, no anguish, but also no ecstasy, and therefore no occasion to create art. Still I was tempted to go even though I would sacrifice what I love doing most. But eventually I decided to walk away. I guess the message of the dream is clear. It was abiout the human condition. I didn't want to sacrifice my creativity. Anyone else ever dreamt of Eden? |

I could say something like that, yes. http://www.near-death.com/experiences/triggers12.html Robert Monroe describes the garden or facsimile in his books. Not just sure which one, probably the first. I saw a lustrous garden with a peacock in full display. It always stayed with me. I can still see it. That was years ago. Robert Monroe did (pioneered in our time frame) astral projection and he called the garden kind of a holding place where you go before you go off somewhere else. Not that unsimilar to what you are describing. |

Bright Eye...I did see something similar to what you describe, years ago....I was on top of a hill and I was shown this beautiful valley, full of orderly planted fruit trees, that were in bloom....I saw a river and it was overall stunningly beautiful...I also heard music, very high notes....I cannot describe it. I had another dream, months later of actually walking in the "garden"...there were pathways done with white pebbles, meadows and flowers that had colors I have never seen....I saw a lake full of flamingos and a field full of lavender tulips, gently swaying ...there were people there, all wearing like white, flowing gowns that acknowledged me with a gentle nod but kept their distance....I heard a voice tell me that I was not really suppose to be there yet and that I had to go back....I really really did not want to, as it was all so peaceful and beautiful ....but I was "pulled" back and found myself in my bed... I did feel a deep joy there though, similar to ecstasy....a deep, intense joy in the heart center...I felt great for days after that dream, full of energy. Memries...what a beautiful image that peacock...sure these derams can never be forgotten.... xoxooxo

Your experience sounds beautiful as well Magenta. I have seen colors and did not know what they were but I am not sure now in what context I saw them. |

I had a dream once in which I was sitting in a beautiful garden with a being that I can't describe and he/she told me that Earth actually WAS Eden, but that humans didn't do what they were really supposed to do, i.e. help the animals and plants in their evolution. It was a beautiful dream, and I felt loved and appreciated by the being that seemed infinitely wise to me. |

I've been wondering over this. Can you tell me - do you remember actually standing on the ground, walking etc? The dream sounds like something else, not a dream! |
