Fenestra Tarot -- Six of Pentacles
The card shows a handsome eastern-style prince or wealthy young man. His jeweled collar is alternating red and yellow, like sun-rays giving an impression of warmth. It makes me think that he has been blessed in his fortune and also in his personality. His eyes are full of compassion and dreamy as if he is thinking about how he can make a difference to people. His mouth is resolute as if he’s just made a decision to be generous and is determined to stick with it. He is giving money to some people dressed in drab clothing. One of the people receiving the money looks surprised, even shocked. A little bit of help can mean a lot to someone else. The suit of pentacles is about material things but I think this card can mean giving more of your time and affection in some readings. The scale in the background reminds us that there has to be a balance. Will people appreciate what you do for them? One of the receiving figures seems to acknowledge the giving person and the other one does not. |

The beggar with his hands empty looks worried, almost ready to cry, wondering if he will get anything. The other looks the the giver with hope in his face, as though he knows that he won't go hungery, that he will be given some money. The giver has a strange look on his face....he wants to help. but I feel he is wondering if he should. the scales of justice are behind him, and are they there to ensure everything is fair, or will the giver end up with them tipped in his favour....by only giving a bit? As a card following the five, I feel that the giver is worried that if he gives too much, then it will leave him without the resourses to defend his business if times get bad.....and the scales to me say that it is a heavy burden that he has to weigh up....to give....or to keep it himself to ensure his own future.
