There have finally been some changes for me.. I finally stopped procrastinating and cleaned out my garage last friday and with the help from my 3 rugrats i got my Healing Room set up...........

My first client in less than an hr so I better get organized....

You've all been busy gathering while I haven't been using the site much lately. How marvellous.
I know the site is very international, but it just feels a bit different internet chatting to people who are on or share or near or know the same land.

Well now that I've been invited to introduce myself. ..
I'm a bit of a solitary practitioner since I was young. Really very open to ways of seeing and with a love for symbolism and words. Since I joined this site a couple of years ago, I've formalized that by learning about tarot. I just read by myself, but sometimes I do a reading for the people who are around me.

I know there are a lot of tarot types in Wellington, when I lived there I remember they hung out up at the upstairs markets on corner of cuba and courtenay ? ?

Well there is a crystal shop and museum in Swanson (Auckland) if you're into crystals. I'm new to crystals and went there today. I found the shop was a great way to while away some winter time and pick up some goodies. The museum was a bit disappointing, but the shop made up for that.

Hello everyone!!!

I'm so glad you are all doing well. The weather is getting blimmin' cold down here in Welly, I even woke up the other morning to snow on the hills across from me, and there is usually NEVER snow on those hills.
I am trying to give up smoking at the moment which is hard but I'm doing ok. I've been using tarot to help with that, like asking it how I can distract myself, what I am gaining from giving up (I know it sounds silly but it's like giving up a friend, I have smoked for 20 years this year so it's so much a part of me now), and also just shuffling when I get the urge to light up. I'm using the Vanessa deck for this as it's a good small size for shuffling, not too small, and its bright and quirky which helps lift my spirits when it gets too hard.
Anyway, other than that I am all good. Must go down to the market and check out the "Tarot Types" down there. Every time I go there noone seems to be around.

Hi Michelle
Good luck with giving up smoking. A good way, I found, is to think of all the things you hate about smoking and then when you get the urge to have a cigarette think of one (or more if necessary) of those things you hate about it. It's good brainwashing.

You'll know the triggers that set you off lighting that smoke. So when you do that something that sets off the light cigarette trigger change your routine and do it differently. Chewing gum is also handy.

Another thing you could do, which you have probably already thought of, is put the money you are saving from not buying cigarettes into a jar and use that money to give yourself a treat for sticking to it. Can I see a new tarot deck heading your way? lol

Remember the first day is hardest, and each day gets a little easier after that. There are a lot of aids out there to quit smoking, patches etc. which you can also employ.

As you can see I have a whole arsenal of things for quitting. It's a long time ago that I gave up smoking, but I remember I had to use my whole arsenal, especially at first.

Yes, playing with the tarot cards is a great way to keep your hands busy. Also, have you thought about getting a nice little crystal you can keep in your pocket and rub when you want to do something with your hands. I'm just getting into crystals, so I'd probably end up with a pocketful!
