True, but it doesn't bother me.

I believe the backs of the Wildwood are dark green and wouldn't that have the same effect?

I actually find it more irritating if the backs are noticeably worn -to the point that you know which card it is -than if the fronts are worn.
I'd have preferred the same color used with the borders as was used with the backs.

Oh sure - I was just thinking that maybe publishers listen

...no, OK...

Well, so far I'm not loving what I'm seeing...feels more material than spiritual.
But the proof is in the handling so I'll shut up now.

Curious, but green edges did not age as black does

I wonder why my Lo Scarabeo mass market black_edged Dante Tarots and Egyptiens seemed to dull or edges seem to chip. I could have the green edged Vacchetta/Tarot of the Masters in mass market edition and the green edges have no signs of wear...but maybe I just used the black decks more.

Back to the Wildwood...am looking forward to a copy from BD, hopefully soon. Sounds intriguing to me. I like the scans

Not blown away by what I've seen so far. I think this might be one I'll have to see in the flesh before deciding if it's one I'd use and love.

I should add that I know nothing about the Greenwood
Judging from the cards that I have seen so far - the artwork has a very different feel from the Greenwood, but the scenes are borrowed from the Greenwood, like the Archer on the Strength card, the crows on the Death card, the clothing on the Wheel etc.
In fact, it is interesting to see how two scenes can be depicted so differently but that explains why it is somewhat different from RWS as well.
