New home printer thread

So I'm looking to get a real good printer for printing out a set of cards. I have high-res images at 1200dpi and want as much of that detail to show on the final print. Any ideas on one?

Epson's are the best art printers around. I had an Epson Stylus Photo RX500 and it did the most wonderful prints.

The Artisan series (according to Epson) promises grain free prints.

I have always used Epson, and currently have their R2880. It uses eight colour cartridges, which include subtleties such as light gray, and light light gray. The results are spectacular, but the cartridges are really quite small and quickly need to be replaced. Not a printer for everyday use, thats for sure.

I use their large 7800 for my canvas reproductions.

Cool Printing Material Chain

Hello all,

Personnaly I use a Canon A4 A3 A3+ sizes Bubble jet Printer. Model 9000.
With Canon paper (Fine Art Paper "Photo rag" FA-PR1) 188 g/m2. It is a pure rag paper made for Canon by Hahnemuhle Company in Germany.
8 cardridges Canon CLI 13ml each. Low cost comparing other marks.

Always use same marks parts: Paper, cardridge, printer because they are made for that specificly.

I prefer to print backs on another page of same paper and glue them together as to have a really thick enough card.

I don't laminate for the moment and would prefer to use a spray like painters use for this work.

I am open to any suggestion about my process.

Hello from Marseille France Old €urope
