Hi there you all kindly helped me with my Rider Waite Deck now I have another deck that I wondered if you could help me with. I have come across a deck of Le Normand Fortune Telling cards that were printed by Dondorf Francfort. There is a small booklet with the cards that has on the front "Le Normand" Fortune Telling Cards International Card Co London EC.and inside the cover is The Art of Telling Fortunes as professed by the celebrated Parisian Diviner, Sylvia d'Arville. The cards are all present and they are in a very pretty hinged lidded cardboard box, the box is gold inside, dark blue and gold on the outside with a padded lid. The bottom has a label that reads The Crown Cork CompanyLimited Southall. Any help to identify when these were produced would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Pauline |

i know the deck quite well... but i think the box doesn't have anything to do with the deck. i know the deck is in public domain. despite what i read on the internet saying that it was produced in 1915, i think i had read some where before that it was produced over 100 years ago. ironically, there is a deck produced with these images called "french cartomancy" though the cards were originally produced in germany. i think the cards were placed in the english box. you should look into the The Crown Cork CompanyLimited Southall the box could be an antique... if it's old... i apart from that i can't tell you any more... __________________ ~ Fortuna mos adeo qui peto ~ |
