Nine of Swords Reversed

What can this card mean, especially in a relationship reading?

Finally the hands come down off the face, you can see things more clearly, there is light at the end of the tunnel? That type of thing?

Sportsfreak,

Reversed, the 9S could mean that one's fears actually have a basis. It could also mean overcoming one's fears, or at least confronting them (as you say, pulling the hands down from one's face).

HTH,
Rodney

Rodney makes an excellent point. 9/Swords upright often indicates fears that haven't much basis. Fears that you're blowing out of proportion, having nightmares about--but they're probably not as bad as you think. 9/Swords reversed may indicate that what worries you has basis, isn't blown out of proportion.

So, on the one hand it could mean that you're fully awake and seeing things clearly. On the other hand, it could also mean that you're not having nightmares, you're sleeping too well--meaning that you're ignoring something you should be concerned about.
