I haven't drawn a daily fae for a while, so today I decided to draw one. I got The Bodacious Bodach, seems as though I've been neglecting my chores again, and be aware that Bodacious has been helping me clean up to keep up with my chores. Looks like I know what I"ll be doing later, looking for things that will be next to impossible to find.

see, I am dragging up threads a year old now:-)

I have been thinking about how I want to approach this deck and came up with that I won't read any card-explanations until I written them myself. So a daily card seems to be the way to do it.
So far the cards I did look up after writing about don't really match 100% to the book but I can't really care about that too much now I guess.

So here is todays card - without any book-hints:

65 The Fee Lion
First impressions:
Blue and cold, crouching, no lights coming off him.
Face is suspicious, even a bit miffed.
Lion but no courage. Wizard of Oz lion.
Or like Flora (Flora is my animal-protector a little white mouse)
Not much of a lion at all actually.
Got a little cap on his head - or a crown?
Sensitive!!!
Whiskers picking up on moods and intentions.
So not really SO much of a coward anyway. His eyes meet my eyes with intensity.
Spotted body - camoflage ties in with his carefulness.
Where is he going?
Routines are important. I sense that the Fee Lion don't much like surprises.

I totally support this approach!!! This was how I "learned" the deck as well, I just pulled dailies and/or dream faeries for the first year or so before I felt drawn to look inside the book again. The messages the cards brought on their own were more meaningful that way, I felt.

And more personal!

I also recommend seeing if you can "feel" the Faery daily card's energy around you each day. I find myself "twitchy and jumpy" on Bodacious Bodach days. Dreamy on "Laiste, Moon's Daughter" days. Spiritual with "Penelope Dreamweaver."

21 The Faery Who Was Kissed by the Pixies

The title alone makes me smile a bit silly. The Faery herself is radiant and the pixies utterly charming.

Emotional aspects:
Love. Joy and openness, something fresh and new.

Physical manifestation:
Touch someone! Give someone a hug, kiss the cat, soft caresses, massages.
Paying attention to my body-language.

Mental aspects.
Innocent and quick.

Spiritual aspects:
Open up! Let others love you. Allow Love to flow both in and out.

What I like the most about the card:
Smiling faces, warmth.
Love is a magnet and will draw both faeries and people toward you. This card is shock-full of pixies.

What I like the least:
It is too tiny!!!

And as a side note - no one on this card is actually touching anyone else. Yet it feels like they do.

***

The energy I felt today has been one of silent strength really, not so much giggly kisses as a silent conviction that I am worthy of love. I spent most of today outdoors in the garden taking photos.

~giggles~ well hon, if you want to see that card in a large size, purchase the book Good Faeries/Bad Faeries, it is an 11 X 14 full color illustration in the book (I think *LOL*)

I just might!

It is kind of strange how attached i became to the Faerie oracle so fast too!
I do find it important to do my daily or every-other daily draws though. when I just look through the whole deck I feel overwhelmed and can't focus at all and wonder if I will ever really get any thing out of all the other cards - perhaps it was just a fluke that it worked so well with the cards i picked so far.

I managed to get on-line friends to buy the deck.
Even complete strangers.
I guess you could say I am on a Faerie-Spreading mission:-D

Well Jema, you are not alone *LOL*. My faeries go EVERYWHERE with me, I am really attached to the deck and to them. Even when I take breaks from all other decks, the Faeries oracle is always there as are my faerie friends. This deck did this to me, and I am glad.

As for the Good Faeries/Bad Faeries it is a really neat book. All artwork by Brian Froud. I love it. It is a coffee table type book.

Himself

Yesterday, having had to deal with a difficult situation on the previous day, I awoke feeling as if the ground beneath my feet was a little shaky, which is very unusual for me.

I turned to my faeries with a silent cry, "I need your help!"

Himself appeared in my hand.

"I will protect you," he said in that beautifully low, but resonant voice of his. I thanked him, loving him and his wisdom, and felt so much better.

Honesty

Today, I asked which faery would accompany me and what I should hear for the day.

Honesty put in an appearance and I realized two very important things:

1. That brutal honesty (which I am a little inclined to) is "not true honesty at all, but somehow slanted to the worst." I think this is an eye opener, since I have never distinguished between types of honesty. For me, being honest is being honest, period.

2. That I will have to be honest with a colleague about an assumption that she made; tell her that I will not be able to fulfill an expectation of hers towards which I never contributed, nor do what she assumed I would be willing to do without consulting me first.

My beloved faeries never cease to amaze me.

For, I kid you not, the 5th day in the last 8, I've gotten Myk the Myomancer. Man, is he stuck on me or what?

I'm observing ev-ery-thing ve-ery de-eply and ca-are-ful-ly
looking at details and hidden meanings. I mean, I'm having lots of insights into deeper layers of events and people, but really, this same draw is getting weird! (And I'm very, very fond of weird.)

Any other clues as to what message he's sending?
