How does the surface texture feel?

Just off the top of my head, I'm thinking one of the jaspers.

You can end up with an intense variety of colors and patterns, solely dependent on where the artisan chooses to "cut" or "cab" the stone specimen. Usually, if it is opaque- think jasper; if it's translucent- think agate. (as good a place as any to start)

As for metaphysical properties, check out some color meanings.

The picture isn't too clear, but it looks like ocean jasper to me. I'm just about positive.

Ditto. Looks like an ocean jasper....If it feels waxy and is realy soft it mat be a serpentine.

I agree also, that it is ocean jasper. In your second photo of it, I can see that the yellow and green colors are rounded in shape, that they call "eyes", even though your piece has larger ones. The yellow is good for your solar plexus chakra and the green is good for your heart chakra.
