The Empress doesn't have to be limited to "motherhood", unless that was the nature of your original question. Those two cards together could easily be indicating issues with self esteem, and intense worries about being able to care for oneself. The Empress is also the quintessential manager and could be pointing to anxiety over your role in the workplace, people questioning your authority and having to manage that.
