Bird Signs
I just found this oracle at discountnewagebooks,,,it looks lovely, and $10 took care of the deck AND shipping. Other than my beloved Dreaming In Color, I adore the plant and animal based oracles. Does anyone else have this deck? I haven't heard mention of it before,,if so, I'd love to know what you think of it. __________________ Religion is a way of walking, not a way of talking. Dean Inge |

I bought that from them too. It's a beautiful deck, oversized cards with really pretty illustrations. I think you will like it. I am going to pick up another one to send to my friend in Australia. She liked it too. |

I'ver been thinking about this one for a while now, but over here it's 30 Euros.. I think it's rather pricey, compared what you guys pay. I think it's not fair sometimes either way, how much the Price differences are. Last edited by Dusk Till Dawn; 24-05-2009 at 01:35. |

Check out your local Barnes & Noble...mine has them for $5.99. I'm thinking about getting a set, at that price. Asher __________________ So much happened before Dorothy dropped in... |

I have it and love reading with it ... used it a few times in exchanges here, too. The book imho is crap though, and while the images are beautiful and you can get some impressions from the setting, I always look up the actual birds for meanings. With just the book, you probably won't be able to go very deep. For that price - grab it! __________________ Some are born to sweet delight, some are born to endless night... ~William Blake, Auguries of Innocence~ Screws fall out all the time. I am so glad you brought this deck up MM. I have been getting some bird signs of my own for a while now. At that price I had to snap one up! I can't wait to get it! |

The book is a bit cheesy and I love it for being that way. It gives homework. Silly homework. Yoga poses, foods to eat, colors to wear, books and movies to watch. I really liked "Parrots of Telegraph Hill". This is a fantastic deck for people afraid of the tarot. I took it to a food kitchen/day shelter and read for some of the older ladies and they LOVED it. Just LOVED it. I like that the book is packed with text without a lot of white space. It's light enough to lug around in a purse. The cards are larger and waxier than my yellow box RWS and about the same thickness. The cards are not as long as "Medicine Cards" which I gave away after I got this deck. I prefer handling them and they filled the same need for me. As an urbanite I see more birds than animals. Bird decks are more applicable to my life. I wish someone would do an urban wildlife deck!! I can see where some people might not like this deck. Some people like thicker cardstock and would hate the cheesy book. I just adore this deck though. It's a favorite. |

I LOVE the cards of this deck, but I agree with Hunter - the book is a bit cheesy. However, if you read between the lines, you can still find plenty of good in it. I have also gotten out my Animal Speak book by Ted Andrews which has tons of different birds in it if I felt I needed more information. Discount New Age Books has Andrew's book on sale for $11.00: http://www.discountnewagebooks.com/a...tandsmall.aspx __________________ "When I was a young man, I admired clever people.
