database errors

I am getting the "there seems to have been a slight problem with the database; a message has been sent to Solandia" an awful lot lately.... like - generally at least once a day. have we a PROBLEM ?

Not at a set time of day, so I think it isn't the regular backup doing it - and it seems to right itself in about 5 minutes every time. Anyone else ? Anyone know anything ?

I've gotten it a couple of times in the last few days, too - only really noticing it because i've got so much more time on my hands to be on the forum

- but it seems to be the backup, I reckon. It was a bit early - like, 1.30-2pm for me on Perth time - on Saturday and Sunday, but I figured that was the weekend. Yesterday and today it's been more normal, later in the day like just now.

I get that about once a day, generally in the morning - about 8.00 a.m.'ish - I've been keeping an eye on the time 'cos I wondered if at that time the server was doing soemthing in particular that meant it lost capacity.

Frinstance - yesterday, several times around 5 pm BST, this morning shortly before my thread was started.... All over !

Yes. I have had this loads of times too guys at all different times. Everytime I see it I gulp!! In case it's another crash! It seems to rectify itself fairly quickly though......USUALLY????

I have ALMOST finished saving all my old readings - I lost interesting feedback that I hadn't saved with the hard disc crash; there was also a GREAT reading Alta had done for me, which I miss

Yes, this past week I've gotten a couple each day.

I have a WebArchives folder on my PC and a handy-dandy Toshiba USB flash drive. I set the number of posts per page to 50 and just tack the page # to the end of the title as I'm saving.

OT: I just noticed that the free hosting service where I had my webpages (for years) is going down this summer. (paid hosting will be available) Methinks there may be a lot of that type of corporate decision going on . . . so trot around your bookmarks for any of your favorite sites at places like that!
