question about crystals, i'm interested

i'm interested on crystals and i am thinking of buying some, for healing and other stuff

my question is, does it matter if they are cut, or "tumbled" and stuff? or in natural form and everything

or is it just preference

Just personal preference. I use natural, tumbled, and highly polished, and they all work equally well.
