Just me and hubby for the first time on Friday :) we had so much fun!! (even though it rained all morning).
We met a lot of nice people from all over the US and got some nice pointers from the old timers (thank god!) The store was AMAZING!

So here are my little treasures :D

This is the mine

The group photo

My favorites!! these are the biggest 2 but they are B grade. The girl said the big one was worth about 22.00 and the smaller one was worth about 24.00. To me they are priceless because my husband swung a sledge hammer for 6 hours straight to find them!! It was right at the end of the day.

These are the most valuable because they are perfect...small but A grade. The smallest is worth 8.00!

This one is a double. I left it in the rock so i wouldn't break it.

This rock has a nice one on the top corner and is loaded with little ones all the way around. We are going to break it open and see what's inside.

I'm a sucker for a set, I had to buy them! They came with a cheat sheet but you can hardly read them it's so blurry, or cut off the page.

Does someone know what these are? I think the yellow one is serpentine, I have a similiar polished one but the green and black one I have no clue.

What a day! phew!
But we somehow managed to save enough energy for the casino after and left there 140.00 richer

Dusk Till Dawn

I think you have wonderful stones! I really like the Apophylite, and the Sandrose ( you can put Perfume oils on them ) The other ones the Diamonds you found, and took out yourself are truly beautiful! That one stone, the black one could be black Turmaline. I am not sure though.

morticia monroe

The black and green one looks like a type of obsidian. Anyone know?

celticnoodle

WOO HOO!!!

beautiful stones and apparently they also brought ya'll some good luck at the casino! :D

thank you for sharing!

minrice

How fun SMV! I'd love to do something like that :) Great photos, I love rough diamonds. Congrats at the casino, clearly you know when to quit...that's my problem, I don't!

HearthCricket

Absolutely gorgeous! The dark ones look like obsidian, but not sure about the soft yellow/tan ones. You hit the jackpot! Thanks for sharing!!

MsRubyRain

How fun SMV! You sure found some great treasures.

Like the others I think the black ones are obsidion and not sure what the yellow ones are.

Thanks for sharing your treasures!!

EarthFaery

Thanks guys!
And if anyone is interested in a group trip let me know and I'll get all the info and set it up :)

Seeker *!3* the apophylite, and sandrose are lovely! My favorite crystal is selenite so I was happy to see a little variety of it in the box. Thanks for the scented oil tip, I'm gonna do that with the lavender oil I made

 Yes we thought the big guy gave us luck too! On the drive home we named it lucky! My husband is the one with all the luck though, must be because he's irish :joke:

So the black one is definitey obsidian (i should have known, the rock itself is just like the snowflake chunk i have without the snow).
I forgot that I bought a rough one at the store (it has some shiny spots on it) and a pretty amethyst chunk...which I needed like I need a whole in my head lol but what the heck it was only 3 bucks. They're a bit bigger than what they look like in this pic.

edit: now that I've closer I look I can see it's a rough snowflake obsidian lol.
Most of the bins were bottom of the barrel so it was hard to find ones that weren't smashed to death.

I still don't know what the green one is, it's very matte and dull compared to the black one. I looks like it's soft as if you could carve it up with a knife.

Briar Rose

Next time you go would you mind if I went? I am guessing you went up to Herkimer NY? You must have drove by the Berkshires? or crossed 90 anywhere in the Adirondacks? I would love to go. How long of a dirve is it?

Thank you sharing. I love all your pics. I would have dug all day though.

Sebavin

What a wonderful time SMV!! Thank you for sharing with us :). The pics are amazing--congratulations on your finds! I would have been digging all day as well.
