Arcus Arcanum - Magician

This magician looks pretty serious here. Very stern looking. Doesn't seem to be
having a lot of fun like the other magician cards I've seen. Very Nordic looking.
The pentacle, cup, sword and wand are on a stone table.
They don't seem to be that magical until the magician picks them up.
Then the knowledge is combined with the tool and that's what creates power.

The magician is standing in front of the bow of secrets. The Alpha and Omega
are clearly marked, combining them on the same arch with the infinity symbol at the top.

"the hawk of the conscious" as the author calls it, is flying around up top
waiting to be called in to the event.

The sun appears to be setting in the background, there's some waves in the
water which makes it seem like it's a little rough going today.
Maybe things aren't working together like they should.

I didn't notice any difference in the artwork between the German and English decks so far.
I did notice that the German edition of the deck, even the new printings,
have a noticeable difference in the coloring. The English edition appears faded.
The cardstock on the older printing is nicer, slightly less shiny.

Thanks for the scans. I just bought my English version a couple of weeks ago brand new online from Tarot Chest. The colouring looks more like the German card you scanned.

He does look pretty solemn, doesn't he? That's a look of concentration if I ever saw one.

I had to get my deck because I was looking for the little details I couldn't make out on the scans. I can't tell what's on his buckle, but the belt has snakes. There's an infinity sign on his cloak clasp. And that pendant he's wearing looks mighty like an eye! There seems to be nothing he can't do or see.
