Jodorowsky style

We have discussed Camoin style in many ways here but I think we have not whole and complete picture of it yet (I have still more questions...).

What about Jodorowsky style? I don't speak spanish but I think here are many people who does and who have read his books.

Does anyone have any tips for it?

For me are such styles very inspirative - styles which work with arcanas as with two separated spaces (I feel it as two different semiotic areas and speads with whole deck could be seen as a mix of two different syntaxes.).

this is a quick reply to your post as I am at work at the moment.
I have Jodo's La Via del Tarot book and his deck. I have only come to the pips in the book, then moved to another place and now decided to review the book from the beginning. There are many nuances that you get when you read his book or see him in Youtube (Spanish speaking interviews) doing readings. he uses a lot of pseudo-psychology, psychology, etc which he calls "psycho magic".
I don't go by his "teachings" on a literal way or completely, but do feel the affinity given my Latin American background. in other words, I see where he's coming from in many things.
I think his book is a good start into his ways, but particularly into Marseilles. at least for me it opened the book of stories with Marseilles and it allowed me to "lift the veil" so-to-speak on the "pips mystery". I read the whole book in two nights and then re-started slowly. now i am doing it again. the one thing to point out as well in this particular book on the Marseilles is his emphasis on applying sexual/ity meanings or influences to the cards.
Given his artistic background, I look at this approach of his with magnifying glasses at times. just my opinion and my experience with Jodo and his book.

more to this later
yara
