I did trim it and I did it very carefully! The results are incredible and worth the effort... Pictures are on the Trim thread!

I cant' imagine trimming it, though the smaller size would make it easier to work with. :::runs off to find Bat Chicken's trimmed pics:::

The trimmed images are stunning. I wouldn't trim mine though unless I had a second deck (and I think Bat Chicken does). A second deck! I'm still waiting for my first one let alone a second one though judging by a couple of the comments I should probably go and check my PO Box today LOL.

ETA: It's finally here but can't be picked up til Monday!

I have two decks already coz I'm a greedy tarot pig.

From the very beginning I thought this deck would work trimmed. The backs won't mess up. I'm happy with it as it is though. Plus it's the kind of cardstock that may scuff, so I'm happy with the borders buffering and the images staying intact.

Not passing judgment here. I'd have two decks, too, if I had the means. Plus a few of Marie's prints for my walls.

Which brings this question to mind: How IS the card stock? Since you and a few others have such large collections, is it thin like Tarot of Trees? I like that little deck's card stock but they do scuff.

ETA: I could wait until Monday to find out but it would be nice to hear about beforehand. Monday seems so very far away.

It's thicker than Lo Scarabeo cardstock. The deck (80 cards including the title and other titles cards) is ~33 mm or 1-5/16" thick. The cards are glossy, but they aren't sticky, so don't form a brick like some of US Games' decks do.

HTH,
Rodney

LOL! me too...

The lamination was damaged on my second deck on a few cards and trimming the borders eliminated that. So out came the knife. So far, so good. It survived its first few shufflings!

Gregory describes Schiffer cardstock as "clunky" (I think that's the word that she used), and that just about sums it up. No flexibility like LoS or MRP cardstock.

When you shuffle it makes a horsey clip-clop sound.

I don't mind it though.

Thank you, Le Fanu. It should be fun to shuffle then. I think I have another deck that sounds that way, though I don't remember which at the moment, so it probably won't bother me either. I'm just happy the deck finally made it to my mailbox.
