De-Enabling Thread

Old English tarot? Oh dear, I fear I may not be capable of de-enabling properly since I genuinely dislike the deck.

Do you really want all the hassle of a Marseilles-ish deck with none of the advantages? I mean, it's not actually Old English. Just a modern impression of what an Old English deck might look like. Sure some might consider it pretty, but really what's the point?

Classic tarot is the original Soprafino, but with garish re-coloring and bizarre, irritating keywords.

Ancient Italian reproduces a later, fairly good Soprafino knockoff; fortunately with antiqueish colors and no keywords. Titles in Italian only (which I consider a plus, but not everyone might).

Il Meneghello's Soprafino Tarot is a faithful reproduction of the original Soprafino, but it's un-laminated.

And they all have the problem with pips.

Suitably de-enabled yet? ;)

As I said, pips don't really bother me. Colors of Classic I'm not sure about, the keywords are...not so cool. So ancient Italian is the same lineart as Classic/Soprafino? I wasn't aware of that *goes to look at scans again*

And yeah, soprafino would be ideal, but its a bit out of my price range once you convert currency/add shipping charges and whatnot

I think you guys pretty much fully denabled me from lunatic though. I mean, its most expensive, its soft porn, hanged man has nipple clamps, AND it smells bad?!?

Hahahahaha! Now I've been de-enabled on the Lunatic as well. Thank you.

i actually like the quirky potatoness of the sun and moon, but whats this about cardstock?

The stock is weird. It's thin, yet very stiff. I don't care for the size/shape combo, it feels awkward to handle. And I dislike the keywords very much. I loved the quirky artwork at first, too, but all these other factors have made this deck unusable for me.

The current Old English is on DREADFUL card stick with a vile yellowy background that looks all MUDDY. As for the Lunatic - there is a thread somewhere about the stinkiest deck, and it won hands down for a new deck. Then again - it is also OOP so it'll cost you.

Sun and Moon. You do KNOW they call it the tarot of the Potato People.... And the keywords are just awful. So - potatoes with bad meanings attached. How is this good ? And yes the card stock is very nasty feeling.

Pips don't bother you - why do you keep saying that. Methinks the lady doth protest too much. But if you WANT pips - use playing cards. MUCH cheaper.
