Can you identify these..[May be junk not sure]

Well a member of my family brought these to my attention earlier today and I was wondering if anyone recognized them or if their just rocks like I think most are. I think the clear one is quartz and most are most likely rocks but I don't know.

I do think those clear ones are quartz. The shiny rock one, I have......somewhere, don't know what it is if anything. And the blue looks very familiar.......I'm not sure what it is though.

Alright good to see I'm not the only one I keep thinking I've seen the blue one elsewhere but even though I've seen some that look similar I haven't been able to get a positive ID on exactly what it is. Thanks

The gold are pyrite. The clear ones look like quartz & the blue one looks like tumbled turquoise. As for the other ones? Dunno!

Thanks I think the other ones are just rocks lol. I think I got another crystal in some kind of casing trying to get whatever the covering is off of it so I can take a picture. All I could tell is it seems to be orange with like some kind of reddish lines going across it's surface. I can't see it clearly yet but for some reason it kinda reminds me of the planet Jupiter any idea what it could be?

Is it transparent/translucent? If so, it could be gold/yellow hematite. BEAUTIFUL stone!

Seems to be see through least under certain lights I've got some pictures though their pretty bad.

Still keep thinking there is some kind of casing but if there is I can't get it off.

I have absolutely no idea! It's pretty tho. Are there any rock stores around where you could take it? What do you mean by *casing*? People generally don't go to the trouble of coating a stone with anything, it's more likely that's just the natural mineral you're seeing.

That last one you posted seems to be a very large and lovely Botswana agate; they are known for their "banding" or lines. They come in various shades of colors, from grey or pink to brown or peach.

That's interesting - I just ran them past my sister (a rock nut !) and she bets on banded flint, or its relative, chert. She says this particularly on the description of translucency and a ‘casing’
