Another Newbie

Hello Hello! I'm new to the forum, and new to Tarot, I just bought my first deck back in October. I've always had a great interest in the spiritual realm, but I grew up in a Catholic home and school, so my knowledge of it is very limited. I know that I'm going to have lots of questions to ask to help with my interpretations, and I look forward to learning.

I'm fairly new here too, and have only a little knowledge of the tarot. I only began my quest for self development recently, after being inspired by some readings I had. Those readings were my first personal experiences with the tarot. I think I bought my first deck in October too

Welcome to AT! I'm fairly new here too, but it's a great place to learn about tarot! I mostly just browse around soaking in knowledge lol. I've been reading for over a year now, but still have issues remembering the meanings to the cards. I love reading the "Your Readings" threads because it helps so much seeing how other people view each card individually, and in return, helps me remember the meanings for the cards.

I got the Moon Garden Deck, and I'm really liking it, it's just so much to learn! Is there a certain process that there should be used when selecting a deck? And also my concern, since buying it...I read that only the person owning the deck should hold cards, is that true? When I first bought it, my friend opened the box and looked through them before I ever touched them. Would he have put his influence on the cards?
