Heart of Faery: Daily Draw - Page 4

Today after reading ALL of the HoF book (yes i couldnt put it down when I was in Faerie hehe) I asked for a card for today and got The Fixer.

now when I first saw this faery I thought 'surgeon' Maybe its my nursey background but seeing him with a bone, with a big overall on that is sort of saying 'im cutting stuff up and putting it right again'.

But the book says how this faery is a whitewasher, to try and make things appear to be better. And I guess that happens when say we have illnesses brought on by stress, we treat the symptoms the illness but not the cause for it.

Hmm

hmmm some more.

We had some mischief going on in the house this morning so I pulled out the deck and asked for the faery responsible and I pulled the Oh No! He seems appropriately fitting for today's goings on. He was messing oldest son...they love to do that to him.

Todays card is the Magician... who popped out after I had picked the Magician from the Transparent Tarot this morning... so I guess they both have something interesting to tell me!

Whilst the book mentions glamour and illusion, today with the sun shining and enjoying having people halla my name across the street... just makes me feel full of joy. Like, wow.. I must be doing something right at the mo, even though Ive had my head in shitsville. People are seeing something in me, like I'm breaking out of the illusion of can't do, no one loves me.. and BOOM into the real world.

All those cards flying around, like I've got all these opportunities in front of me, I can pick my destiny, pick my path... I create My Self...

Today's draw is the Queen of Hearth and Home...Maybe I am going to get some unexpected company today that I don't know about that I will have to make them feel like a welcomed guest...who knows...

My mother gave me my deck a few days early, because I've been so depressed - I needed a distraction.

I chose a card late last night, and it was the Lady of the Unicorns. (? I don't have the book in front of me). A very fitting draw, for the state of mind that I've been in.

This afternoon, I chose The Queen of Laughter. Not ten minutes later, I was laughing with my mother and sister (who is home from Canada for a while).

I'm just here taking a little break, and need to get moving again; I find my mood sinking if I sit here too long.

I got as far as I usually get: not exercising, and eating some chocolate.

And Im really.. not sure what it means. I feel like the scythe shouldnt be there... like its not about being cut free... theres captivity and then theres wanting to stay.. not wanting to cut the cords.

Hmmm I have no idea.

Maybe today I'm so captivating to men? PPFFFT

47 The BIG Behind

Strangely enough, I've had this deck for a little while, but I've not really used it much yet. However, I find the original Faery Oracle is near always extremely accurate when I do readings with those cards. Today, The Heart of the Faerie Oracle I find to be no different.

The companion tells me the keywords are New Perspective/ Knowing Your Options/ Survival. Today I feel those aspects very much in my life. My life feels quite uncomfortable and while I have had these same worries before, something about today makes them feel overwhelming, scary and sad. I'm stuck in a mess that seems like it will never end, yet I know the only way is to go forward and ride this out.

Another possibility is that these problems have been here all along and I just haven't seen them as closely. I need to look at my situation and figure out where everything went wrong. What has happened? Why is it suddenly so painful now? Why is it essential to move forward? I need to also look at myself and what has brought these problems to the fore. Right now, I'm so aggravated I don't want to think about anything.
