Yes it was. Thank you, too, for that answer.

I had seen it touched on very briefly. Most of what I had seen in the past was way too advanced, and looked more like a technical manual than something I was ready to learn from.

The companion book to this deck was the first presentation that actually made sense to me.

Now I just need to pick out some fabric for that deck.

That is exactly what I am doing! Just got my sewing machine out of the shop and I am pouring through fabrics to see what will be just right for Vampyres

I finally opened the deck.

There were two 9 of Skulls and no Lord of Skulls. I wrote to Llewellyn, and hope it won't come down to sending it back to Amazon.

bummer! I had read of missing/duplicate cards so when i bought mine (in person) i opened and counted them at the counter. I'm sure they'll send 'em to you and maybe a courtesy gift as well!

Mine's late... it seems to be stuck in transit. So if it has duplicate cards when it DOES arrive I may cry.

Vampyres..

Okay a story here for you...Went to Barnes and Nobles at my local mall and saw this deck featured in the spooky, creepy etc. section not where tarot decks are located. This was a display for Halloween goodies and the like, the only one mind you.....I picked up the deck walked around with it, hymed and hawed and hymed and hawed some more.....decided to put it back, BUT I put it back to section where the decks are located. Thought I would go get the things I came for and have lunch and then if I could not resist it I would get it. (It was $28 with tax, something I really can't afford with my measly income) Well, long story short....I should have bought the DECK! I ended up having lunch and stopped by See's chocolate shop and spent $25 on candy...Can you believe that?? I should have bought the deck....I do love chocolate and if this deck is velvetly smooth like chocolate I am going back to get it!! Only hope that it is still there.....I did kind of push it sidways in the rack with the others, you know hiding it? LOL!

well CroneGoddess54

it could be that you were intouch with your own inner vampyre, that sweet temptation that is just too good to resist all that candy. You were a sugar vampyre! lol

I had heard some good things about contacting manufacturers. The letter I sent was positive, briefly repeating the same joy for the companion book as earlier in this thread, and that I was just looking for guidance to get a Lord of Skulls. I did include a picture as well. I'll try to post an update regarding how this turns out.

cronegoddess54, ouch. I hate doing things like that. But I do them too.

I caved. My Halloween Tarot was ruined, I was in the store looking for another one, and they didn't have one there, so I bought it... I sort of like it, but sort of wish I hadn't bought it, as well - just because I can't afford to be throwing money around.

I'm going to order the Halloween Tarot online, but I'd wanted something to use in the meantime. I don't think I'll be buying any more decks unless it's a "must have" in the future, because I keep feeling bad about it afterwards.
