HA. Very interesting. In the strict meaning of the word, yes, it looks dynamic or it has something dynamic.

I've always enjoyed this game. since it has yet to be discovered what this item is, I'm going to join in!

I'm using the fairy tale tarot by Lisa Hunt.

4 swords rx, 2 of wands rx, king of pentacles

so, the 4 swords in a rx position indicate to me that it is something that is used to help you at work--and I say at work, due to it being next to the 2 of wands. the 2 of wands indicates to me it is work related. possibly also due to the fact that in this card, the image is of two mice, and one giving the other something. the last card is the king of pentacles. so whatever this item is, it is used at work to help achieve a goal. I keep feeling that this item is a book of sorts and as odd as it may sound, I'm feeling like it could be a dictionary?

I always like to end a reading with numerology. and these 3 cards do add up to the number 20. which is related to judgment. so that made me think of the bible or a book of prayers at any rate. I could be way off, but that is the glory of this game--it doesn't really matter, its fun and a way to learn!
so, I'll guess a book.

awh shucks! i did read through the other responses and must've missed the earlier guess of a book. so, looking at those 3 cards again.................

a contract perhaps.

okay, I know it has to do with hugging and swords and is dynamic, eh???
and the Universe card is a great card for it?

I'm going to change my guess to a picture? the hugging and dynamic make me feel like it is a picture of someone's goal. I was even thinking perhaps a wedding picture. but maybe it is a picture of someone receiving an award?

Cool! But no book here. But the rest was right on spot, good job!

wow! you are fast, Eowyn.

yes, I am feeling better at the moment, thank you. still have the lump tho, and still need to see the surgeon on it. just waiting for results from the cat scan to come back.

now...back to the game.

okay, dynamic, hugging and swords and the universe card is good. the item is used at work to help you achieve goals. not a pen either, as this was already mentioned. could it be a pencil then or perhaps a computer?

oooh, but pencil and/or computer has nothing to do with hugging, now does it?

I feel it has something to do with paper at any rate. could it still be an award that you rcv'd? that could help you with your goals at work. being recognized. and if you had rcv'd an award, I'm sure you feel like hugging it! and with the swords, you rcv'd it as a result of you working hard to achieve it. perhaps a speech as well. and well, an award would prove just how dynamic you are at work! okay--there is my guess again then! an award!

LOL not an award.
I bought the item because I had enough money thanks to the job I used to have by that time, so in that way you may find the winning or award feeling to it. Anyways I don't use it anymore, it is an item many people have, it is very common. Enough clues! Keep digging those cards! Not all have been said from the swords cards.

Hiya, this looks fun!

Okay, using the Revelations tarot.... Page of Swords, Page of Cups, Ten of Cups Reversed

So is it something you bought to learn from? Maybe you wanted a new hobby or something, and this was the starting point (say, you buy a book to help you start playing an instrument for example). You were searching for something... something about yourself maybe? Anyway, something happened so you lost interest and don't pay it much mind anymore... or you found something new. Agh no idea!

Could it be an old tarot deck?

ha! well, now, something you purchased, and must have been somewhat expensive, as you say you purchased it due to the job you had. so at least if not expensive, something that you wouldn't just go out and purchase unless you had 'extra' cash to do so.

sounds as if it may be a deck of cards.

these are quite popular and common, and would relate well to the swords as well. as cards give a thought, idea and a message.

so, I'll go w/cards.

but, I'm also going to throw 3 more cards out there to see what other 'clues' they give, as I don't want to just continue guessing here.

still using the Fairy Tale tarot-
entrapment rx, (same as the hanged man), princess of pentacles rx, and 10 of wands rx

so, the entrapment rx card tells me that it is something with which will set you free. at least give you some peace of mind. the image in this card is of a woman, (Rapunzel) with long hair draping out of her window in the tower where she is kept. she has a look of being lost in thought. dreaming of being set free. rx would indicate an answer has been arrived at after pondering in thought.

the next card is the princess of pentacles rx. shows a woman in bed about to rise or perhaps is just climbing into bed. she is the princess from the story the princess and the pea. there are 20 mattresses that are piled on top of each other and she is on the top, to test and see if she is truly a princess. interesting too that the no. is 20, i feel--which is related to judgment again. this card was about finding out if she truly was a princess, but perhaps I am really taking this all a bit too far...anyway, the princess of pentacles rx can be a message or news. I wonder if it is a lottery ticket? one you bought long ago. I just cannot shake the feeling of it being 'paper'. on paper. and so many of my guesses already are related to paper. so, cards? a lottery ticket?

the last card is the 10 of wands rx. it depicts the story of Rumplestiltskin. It shows upright the girl in a room with straw and a spinning wheel where she must make it into gold. rx, would show that a fortune was not made. nothing came to be of it.

so, the enchantress rx, the princess of pentacles rx, and the 10 of wands rx. an answer was considered and acted upon, but didn't pay off.

a lottery ticket? or cards, tarot or oracle cards

ah! librax and i are thinking in the same direction it appears! makes me feel stronger with the above guess.
