I reached in my bag and pulled out a handful - I was hoping for 3 but got 5 so let's see how this works.

Raido. Isa, Jera, Sowulo & Thurisaz

Fascinating 5 - they all point to a journey for you. Raid especially is about movement but there is something that is making you hesitate, like the 2 of swords. Like you are straddling two worlds and don't know where to jump..... backward or forward..... You have come a long way already and it is time to put the knowledge that you have gained to good use.... to reap what you have sown. Like a rubberband - pull and then wait until the tail catches up and then pull out again..... on your journey. So let what you have learned work for you now and when the time is right again you will push the limit and learn more and get to a new gateway - thurisaz.

These 5 work so well together. They truly indicate great strides in your journey. You need to pay attention to grounding. It is becoming more and more important in your spiritual work. I do believe you are secure but you still need to keep this at the top of your to do list each day..... Ground..... fly away and ground again!

That was the long answer..... the short answer is to a new gateway. It is there...... make that leap.

This totally makes sense. The tough time, frustration, and sadness around me was happening earlier this week, probably when you were doing the reading. Talk about PRESENT! And it is already lifting yesterday and today. But it’s true that the underlying issues I’ve been struggling with most of my life. And I think it’s going to take inner and outer harmony to deal with them.

Interesting that you mention renewal, growth, and relocation. At our tarot society meeting on Saturday, I kept getting readings that basically said, “go to a counselor, get unstuck, change your situation.” I haven’t done any of it yet, but it’s coming!

And life purpose! I’ve been obsessing about that in the last few months. (Especially since Then I realized that my life’s purpose is to be happy. Or at least that’s what the Dalai Lama said. And I’d like to believe him!

I chose to take a rune out of the bag for each month, put it back again and mix them well to take another rune for the next month, and so on. I added one more rune for clarification.

August: *Wunjo* August will bring you joy, confort and pleasure, it might refer to the relationships from July. There will be other lessons to be learned though.

September: *Perthro* Some mistery will be unfolded to you. Perthro will enhance your magic abilities. It also indicates a new beginning for you.

October: *Ehwaz* Development and progress, however slow, it will be steady. Energy, power and 'motion'. A possible trip???

November: *Nauthiz* There is a blockage in the steady progress shown till now. You might feel frustrated at first, but this imbalance might end in your feeling motivated towards change.

December: *Laguz* Renewal! You'll find the key in your dreams and memories. Your creativity will flow. Psychic activities. Be prepared to face the dark side of things. Succes awaits you in the end!

I found very interesting that even though after taking one rune, I put it back in the bag, there wasn't any rune repeated in the whole reading, despite my mixing them up very well before taking another. To me, this is indication of a straight path, not going in circles.

Nothing like lst minute, eh? Sorry!

I used a spread from Tony willis' book called Mimir's Head

I pulled 7 runes. The first 6 are read in pairs: The past, outside factors leading to where you are right now, advice, then a result rune.

The first pair (the past): Ehwaz/ Neid- this was a good job and it paid the bills, but it really wasn't the best job for you.

(Outside factors): Jera/ Gebo- you don't see it right now, but there was a need to clear the old job away so that something else can come into your life.

(Advice): Pertro/ Ihwaz- Stay strong and above all, flexible. Reach for opportunities that you never would have considered before. Think outside the box at jobs and look in unusual places for a new opportunity. I am thinking something you may not have thought yourself qualified enough for- go for it anyway! PS both runes are heavily linked to rune magic- couldn't hurt to try a bit.

(Result): Dagaz- A new career posibility rather than just a job to make ends meet. Not something you first thought of, something suprising.

Eh or Ehwaz
Clearly reflects the unsettled state you are currently in. As it was upside down I'd think this will continue on, until you yourself take action.

I'm sure you won't see that as a satisfactory divination but that is all these runes can see at this time.

I drew one more rune, the Tir or Teiwaz turned up.
This is the arrow rune and it was pointing away rather than toward. It suggests your comfort zone is too comfortable and you need to get busy making some sacrifices.

Sorry, that brings us right back to the reading.
As an overview I'd say get your running shoes on and take control before the situation controls you and the people you work with all have their resumes on the market ahead of you.

Thanks for the reading. Interestingly what you are describing is similar to how my last job fell out from under me (company went out of business), and landed me where I am now. I’ve learned a lot over the years in my current job, particularly about thinking on my feet and moving fast ... which, it seems, I should apply to myself rather than others!

Looks like it’s time to get cracking on updating the file I call “Pina Colada” (as in Escape (The Pina Colada Song)), which is where I hide my resume in case the boss looks at my file listing!

No it never paid the bills - I took it for networking. I did make a lot of contacts so in that respect it was good but it never paid for anything really.

I just read this awesome reading and I can't wait to see how the rest of this year turns out.
I can say for sure that the month of July is right on. I did infact reconnect with some friends through this weeks of camping. I also connected with some very new friends who I will be sharring alot of time with next year when I go back to the camp again.'I did infact come home very balanced and this is what I really needed. I am going to print this reading out and keep it with my runes and see what the next few months come up with.

Opportunity = Need: You have the opportunity to do more with less. Letting go of what you don’t need is very freeing!
