Dreams- Always being called by another name

In the past week I have dreamt (4 times in total) that I have been called by a different name. All dreams have been in first person, really clear and quite real.

If it makes any difference my real name is Liz but I keep getting called Lily, which I have never been called before. Is there an explanation for this? Also I don't know any Lily's.

I totally agree with celticnoodle on this. I believe the name represents a transformation. My first association with the new name was with the lily flower. I looked up symbolism associated with lilies, and though there are multiple possibilities, depending on the color, sources seem to agree that the lily is associated with purity. This could mean that you're undergoing some purification process during this time of transformation, perhaps cleansing yourself of something from the past or limiting beliefs or thoughts.

They also link the lily to the Greek belief that the flower was produced by the milk of Hera, mother of the gods. So this associates the lily with milk. I personally think of milk as linking to nurturing, since it's the first food that a baby gets. So this seems to reinforce the transformation/birth theme and also includes a nurturing process.

In other words, this little detail, which has appeared repeatedly in your dreams this week, signals something very positive.

Is it possible that perhaps I'm "being called" to look at myself and 'transform' rather than currently going through this transformation.
