Piatnik TdM
What a surprise....I went to the mailbox today, expecting to receive a deck that i mailordered USED off of Amazon....and thought this was it....I had no idea that "Nonnie Mouse" even existed...that such gifting went on here at AT...so at first I thought my Amazon party and sent me the wrong thing...till I went on AT and explained what happened... And then was informed that i was MOUSED. Now, Here's what I received...a lovely Facsimile older TdM...like new! TdM is my main reading deck, and this will be an introduction for me into the historic reproduction versions... i love it... BUt also, there were two fantastic tarot bags...one GOLD, which will hold this deck, and one GREEN with knotwork...and the deck I'm still expecting (no it didn't get sent to someone else, like I thought...) is the Courtney Davis Celtic...and this GREEN bag with the knotwork will be PERFECT for it. There's also a tiny singing bowl...for meditation...which I will DEFINATELY use, being into the healing aspects of sound. There's ALSO (the list goes on and on...) a tiny geode, and some votives. So thank you thank you, nonny mouse! I had no idea such gifting when on here at AT. I've never crossed the threads. And yes, I haven't been able to participate in trades and such becasue I've been unemployed so long. This is truly a blessing! It's great that this is going on! Once I got a message saying I'd been moused, but I never did receive a package. Oh well! Mallah, congratulations, sounds like your day was truly made!!! Many blessings to you. xx

Nonny has been an Industrious Mouse! ![]() She has made it to the Sunny South ~ on a day when it was decidedly not sunny ~ and she has brought a big smile to a Relapsed Sick Person's face! My left foot has been an ongoing trial since October 2011, the kids & I got sick this past week, and my husband has an abdominal ultrasound scheduled for Monday to check his gall bladder. Our Christmas tree just made it down 2 days ago & the box is sitting at my doorway. But I have the loveliest, sparkly, rich-colored gifties! A gorgeous brown & orange drawstring pouch held a jewelled snowflake brooch. A mini geode! I've been wanting to retreat into a magical cave since before Thanksgiving. This will be added to my bedside Soul Station!A beaded zipper purse held a fabulous set of red stone jewellery: necklace & matching earrings! I need the energy it holds so very desperately. ![]() There is an exquisite mini playing card deck from Ferd, Piatnik and Sons, Vienna! And a New Seeds Pocket Classics of Thomas Merton. I flipped open to this excerpt: Quote:
The happiness and strength that flows through this Collective Web of Strands is beyond price because it is freely given. I thank you sincerely. |

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad these packages have brought such cheer to two very dear people who certainly deserve it. ![]() And Carla, you have a PM coming. Thank you so much for letting us know your package hasn't arrived. It will be remedied ASAP. I haven't had delivery confirmation on some of these, so I had no idea there was a problem.ETA: You live in the UK so I couldn't get tracking info from here to there even if I'd tried.

I have received a very special package from A. Nonny Mouse today! ![]() I opened my box to find a fabulous card ("If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun"), an exquisite butterfly journal and a gorgeous pen to go with (both the perfect size), a Paddywax soy candle (cardamom and vetiver, total yum), an incredibly lovely triple milled soap (way too pretty to open, it will be deposited in my underthings drawer), and.... ...the Touchstone Tarot! Which I instantly love! The size and shape of the cards is perfecto. I didn't even know I wanted this lovely deck. Oh, the Autumnal backs...LOVE IT. ~~~~~~~ 2011 was a trying year for me, which I'm sure is why some kind soul decided I could use some love from Nonny Mouse. My father, who had Parkinson's Disease, took a fall over the summer and then rapidly declined and ended up in the hospital, then hospice, where he died a week later. As the only sibling living near my parents, it was up to me to get everybody through it all, and I did it...but it took a pretty big toll on my psyche. I found a lot of love and support here, which is astonishing considering I've never met a single ATer in person. I think we have all come to realize that it's possible to form connections online that are very real indeed, though. I don't think I can put into words how touching I find this. THANK YOU to the person who whispered my name in Nonny's ear. THANK YOU to each and every person who donates to the Nonny Mouse fund, for the sole purpose of bringing somebody joy. THANK YOU to Grizabella, who works so hard to coordinate everything and get these care packages out, all while facing her own life's heartbreaks and challenges. You are all angels.Love, Gwen Here are my gifts: http://www.flickr.com/photos/60333830@N08/6802356651/ __________________ ~~~~~~~~ "If you can't be nice, at least have the decency to be vague." OctoberGwen - sounds as if it was a very well deserved mousing! Isn't it a beautiful place, this little purple island! I love Nonny Mouse. Always seems to come in the right moments, these little gifts of collective friendliness and love. __________________ *** Se donner du mal pour les petites choses, c'est parvenir aux grandes, avec le temps.
