"going away spread" ?

I good friend of mine is going to India for a year. She will work there with orphans.

before she goes i want to read here the cards to see how the year turns out.
I want it to be special since its kind of a going away present.

Has anyone any thoughts on what kind of spread i could use?

LadyRoxanne had a really cool 6 month spread that I've found to be pretty accurate. It involves quite a few cards, but it's not too difficult to read. I'll try to find it and get it posted for you.

Look at that, I found it right away! It goes like this, the cards are laid out in a pyramid shape:
15
13 14
10 11 12
6 7 8 9
1 2 3 4 5

1-3: Current Month (Ex: August)
4-5: Next (Ex: September)
6-8: Next (Ex: October)
9-10: Next (Ex: November)
11-12: Next (Ex: December)
13-14: Next (Ex: January)
15: Last (Ex: February)

Then 3 qualifiers: 1 = From last (Feb.) on
2 = Outcomes
3 = Important Events

I've done this spread for myself and so far everything has turned out just like I predicted. There were some "negative" cards in the spread but I consider those to be warnings, not necessarily definite outcomes.

Hope you like it and let me know how it goes! If all else fails, there's always the Celtic Cross! lol
