I've just completed work on a second edition version of Le Millenaire Tarot de Marseilles and can now accept pre-orders for the deck.

The new version is significantly different from its predecessor. The first version was inspired by the Grimaud Tarot de Marseilles and accordingly featured a predominantly red, yellow and blue colour scheme. In this new version I've opted for a wider colour scheme inspired by the Flornoy Noblet. Like that deck, the cards now feature ivory backgrounds rather than the stark white of the original. All the pip cards have been re-worked. They now feature much more traditional coin, sword, baton and cup motifs but the decorative embellishments by contrast are more modern and improvised (difficult to explain - see the attached pics below!)

I'm offering the deck in a special handmade edition. The cards are inkjet printed (five colour printing plus black) on high quality 190 gsm photo paper then laminated with 300gsm matt finish laminates. They are hand cut and cornered with a 3.5 mm corner rounder. The finished deck is slightly thicker than a U S Games deck printed in China.

The biggest difference with the new edition is that I'm opting for 'Noblet' sized cards. The cards themselves are 55mm x 93mm; roughly the size of the Flornoy Noblet or a standard deck of Bridge type playing cards. The deck will be presented in a handmade drawstring bag - yellow one side, navy blue the other and with red satin lining and drawstrings.
