Do you mean more like this ratio of gem to matrix?

Here's a picture of natural turquoise showing color variations in matrix. I prefer the brown matrix, personally. Stabilized means they cover it with a clear coating to harden it and prevent damage -- turquoise is very soft, and the lesser quality ones even softer. I'm not sure on my stance on stablized although I'm trying to find a piece that isn't. I'm considering these right now though... http://www.sanjosebeads.com/catalog/...251/image/459/ __________________ The most wasted of all days is one without laughter. ~e e cummings ~~~~~~~~ Give a person a fish and you feed him for a day. Oh that's a lovely piece, yes, I do like lots of matrix like that The carefully selected pieces that have NO matrix just don't appeal to me, even though I know they're as real as the ones with...~Yira __________________ The most wasted of all days is one without laughter. ~e e cummings ~~~~~~~~ Give a person a fish and you feed him for a day. Morning! We've got some chilly weather here in South Florida, too. We had an overnight low of 35 and we're expected to get up to 56 today. South Floridians are delighted at the novelty and all of the tourists are bummed. We'll all be over it if it lasts more than a day or two.

Those are lovely...There's a lapidary museum in the next suburb over. Maybe I'll make a trip there and see what they have in the gift shop. __________________ ...But for that fury How should I be rid of the slow death? I see we're talking about one of my favorite subjects - stones! Turquoise is a very special stone to me and actually, it has been for many cultures. Here are my notes about the properties of turquoise: Healing, specifically a healer of the spirit, protection, can allow one to remain grounded during a “journey”, a journey is imminent, increase psychic ability, has been used to initiate rain. Can bring any and all energies to a higher level. Elevates and aligns all chakras __________________ "Not all of us can do great things, but all of us can do small things with great love." Ohh..this one is lovely...doesn't give specifics though, I'd have to write the seller to be sure it's even real..they're very good at adding matrix to fake these days... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ima...4507&s=kitchen ~Yira __________________ The most wasted of all days is one without laughter. ~e e cummings ~~~~~~~~ Give a person a fish and you feed him for a day.
