Had an interesting dream with God in it...

I had this dream on Thursday & can't stop thinking about it. I told several of my friends about it & they feel that the number is significant & that i'm supposed to do something with the number 12.

On to the dream...
It was night time & i'm in some sort of lot or garage going through an old van with other people that I know including my little sister & an old friend on my mothers who I haven't seen in years & her son. God is part of the group & he tells me to take out some sort of radio or device outside of the compartment in the front of the car in the passenger seat. He tells me to take it to building #12 & leave it there. The building is some sort of charity I never went to it but I knew that's what it was.

I take it out & we're all talking like normal & i'm telling my sister that God is next to her. She's unable to see him but my mother's friend & son can see him. I keep telling her that he's right next to her but she's unable to see him. I shrug & continue conversing with him about mundane things that I can't remember. He was very pale, dressed in black & had longish black hair. He clearly looked different from the other people around. His skintone was basically white.

I can't stop thinking about it or talking about it to other people for insight. I feel like it's something important. For a little insight on what's going on with me now i'm trying to get a new job & have been anxious to hear back & applying to different things.

Id like to say more but i keep deleting what i've written for some reason. So all i'll say is if you are a strong believer just focus on what you need and you will eventually get it.

May I suggest that you sit down comfortably and bring that image of the person and number 12 to mind and feel what comes from it.

after reading through your whole dream, i would say the dream is very spiritual. generally, when I dream of numbers like you did here on the number, 12, I relate it to numerology and I often will just look up the corresponding number in tarot for it. however, because this dream was so spiritual, I just looked it up on a site I often visit. turns out that the number 12 denotes spiritual strength and divine perfection as well as representing cycles and repetition.

dreaming of this taking place at night time indicates some obstacles in achieving your goals and some things that are confusing or bothering you. it can indicate that you need to take time to sort this out before you can move forward in your goals. it is also a symbol of a new beginning.

the old van is yet another symbol of things in your life that are holding you back. even being in a garage is another symbol of feeling like you are being held back from achieving your goals. Seeing and speaking with God shows you are feeling some feelings of guilt probably about your spirituality. the radio in your dream can represent your intution and awareness. Perhaps this part of your dream is telling you that you need to learn to trust yourself and let go of the problems you are carrying w/you.

the black and white indicate that something is indeed bothering you and you are out of balance. you need to find that balance again so you can be more objective in your decisions.

I'm thinking that this dream just shows how upset and anxious you are about hearing back from prospective job places. You are allowing it to control your life and unable to do much else. Perhaps this dream is also telling you to relax a bit and turn back to your spiritual path to help you. whether this is saying (if you believe in prayer) to pray for guidance and aid in finding that right job or that you may need to pay attention to and lean a bit more on family members and friends. I think only you can answer that. But definitely this dream speaks of the anxiety you are feeling and losing sight of everything else that you hold important in your life.

re-pete-a I definitely need to meditate on the dream & about many other things. A life change is due for me.

This makes me think about the 12th house in astrology, which can have to do with institutions like hospitals, - and I thought a charity fit the same category.

Maybe it's suggesting that you apply for a job with a charity or similar institution - or maybe you've already been thinking about that and it's advising you to go ahead with it. Or it's possible some kind of volunteer work could lead to a job prospect.

12 is supposedly a very mystical number, 3 (the trinity) multiplied by 4 (the quanternity). I also agree with celticnoodle's characterization of "representing cycles and repetition". It goes something like this...

4 = the whole.
8 = Completion, turned on its side, the symbol for infinity, the symbol above The Magician's and Strength's heads (in the RWS deck).
12 = The trinity of completion...
16 = Totality.

Your dream sounds like a confrontation with the unknown. A radio is a symbol of communication, of public expression, and you were to leave at the door to a charity. Could it be that you have "something to say", express, or give and your dream is a call to "share it"? Or maybe you are simply supposed to "deliver a message".

Van's a symbol for practicality. I think the dream has some emotional and intellectual manipulative properties with it that is trying to shake you out of a way of thinking or feeling.
It's trying to say maybe you are trying to fix a problem in a way that isn't really practically available. I don't know what the charity reference is but it seems to point to finding this building that's a charity and telling them your needs and they will broadcast it out and maybe some sort of more practical solution will come about.
