Mmm that sounds yummy! I know Brits always find it hideous that we Americans smother our breakfast savories in maple syrup - bacon, sausage, eggs - anything's fair game for syrup smothering. But I'm not sure what the official Australian word on the subject is...

This workplace sounds fabulous, dog friendly and everything. I hope you have a good time there and learn heaps, even if you can't stay.

I read about using it for potatoes....It seems like it's just a very flavorful lard kinda thing, but you REALLY need to ask someone that cooks duck. Wendy would know....

Do NOT use chocolate syrup....that is yucky....maybe the kind of chocolate you'd dip strawberries into??? Dunno, I'm still on the quest.

Same as the British, as far as I know. I've only heard of it being used for sweet stuff, waffles and icecream. I use it to make granola, and I have a friend who makes heavenly maple syrup fudge.

Erk. I'm too hot. I forgot to shut the windows this morning and the hot air got in I don't have airconditioning.

I lost a post again. Invalid thread huh?
