Just been watching the State of the Union and response, and thinking a lot about the guidelines I'm going to set for my new IDS. You and my beautiful new deck inspired me to kick into gear and get studying!
On the contrary, I am very happy to see you here more often.

We just watched the speech too. Now, I'm watching Scooby Doo and the Samurai Sword with Ryan. It's riveting.

Yep, I just ordered the book I'm going to read with my IDS, so I think I'm ready to go.

You'd be surprised - being an ex-pat affords one the perspective to become even more homeland nationalistic than ever. From my point of view, all the faults of America are greatly minimized by living as a part of the chaos of the government that presides over the country I've made my de-fact home. I've been in Japan for six years and we've had 7 different prime ministers!

Is that the Matthews book? I ordered three books on Blake last night, but they're coming from America, so it'll be "2-4" weeks. Lame. (They weren't available for Kindle )

I think as soon as the Dems grow a pair, and stop trying to be so diplomatic with others who are not interested in being friends, they'll get a lot more done. That's just my opinion, and I am NOT trying to start a political debate.

I went away to watch some tennis, and will be watching more, the weather's too hot to do anything else. Its the Scottish player Andy Murray on next.
He's not as hot as Federer, but he has a good looking older brother I just saw interviewed.

I like Obama. So it was a good speech?

Yeah. Emily was inspired by it, so I'm sure it will add some depth and understanding to my study.

Eh, I'm a bit of a purist. I still prefer Scooby Doo circa 1969.

He's an excellent speaker, so His speeches are always very good. It's the gridlock in Congress after the speeches that's frustrating.

How's the tennis going? Who's doing really well? (not that I'll really know who you're talking about, but I'm still interested)
