Hi Wendy, I'm staying up late again, because I've just started sewing together the Japan bags, after spending ages cutting out a lot of fabric. I want to see what they look like, so I'll keep going as long as it takes.
I'm lucky I don't work, commiserations to those that do. It's just gone midnight, but I'm a night owl.

I see you have plans for a concept2 now, and I hope that will solve the problems with the fingers. I've got a sore wrist from cutting out fabric, but it's ok with pinning and sewing.

I just got home from hanging out with some knitting mates. It was a lovely night and I'm feeling a bit more equipped to deal with the lacy border on my shawlette.

Yes - I'm beginning to realise that the Concepts aren't known as the best you can get for nothing.... they are lifetime sturdy, have so many options for resistance etc. and feel soooooo smooth to use. And they don't hurt your fingers

After using Ollie twice in two days I had to get himself to cut up my dinner because I couldn't curl my fingers round the cutlery ... not good

You need to stop hurting yourself, Wendy. Get Himself to strap your wrists to the oars and strap your hands straight!

It's the fourth finger on each hand. Sounds soooo insignificant but it's amazing how involved they get when you use the rest of the hand to do anything. And on those two fingers it's the tendon that goes from the palm to the first joint. The rest of the finger is absolutely fine! On a Concept, I don't feel a damn thing....

And y'know, you use your fingers like a hook. Not grasping or holding - just hooking over the handle. But if the resistance is too high it turns into a holding situation, and that's when I get hurt!
