Yira - I did a google of "testing voltages in power supply unit" and got some good hits. You would appreciate this - the final exam for one of my h/w classes was "Do not work on CRTs because: a) they will kill you; b) they will kill you; c) they will kill you; d) they will kill you." You can get a cheap-o DMM at a hardware store. 10$ isn't that much - and they are useful to have around the house anyway. I was thinking - do a visual look in your PSU first - look for scorching or any sort of damage around capacitors (bulging, leaking etc.). Exercise caution when working around capacitors. Solder that might have caused a short. Loose wires, bad connections, that kind of thing. Bummer you aren't here, I'd let you use the electronics lab. Sorry for the lame joke last night - I was exhausted and the filters between brain and mouth were not functioning! |

I usually have 2 or 3 of those mini ones, keep one in the pack, and at least one in my purse. Now I' just waiting for my own yummy coffee to kick in before maybe attempting a daily draw with the WildWood. I have a headache...wonder what's up with that? I'm hoping it's a coffee thing, but I'm not doing anything different today. Maybe it's the crap weather that's looming.

I've got to get it together and make some copies today. Now the ultimate question: Which kid comes with me and which kid stays with grandma?

This set-up is really kinda cool. It's a gas station/convenience store/Subway/Dunkin Donuts/ satellite post office...all in one spot. The only headache is ya need to pay for each service separately. __________________ ...But for that fury How should I be rid of the slow death?
