I hope nobody minds my posting this, but I just wanted to say I’ve read through ¾ of this thread and found it completely fascinating. I learnt the principles of Lenormand some time ago but this spread, despite fascinating me (several older relatives used it), always flummoxed me.

I've more or less being using the No Layout method exclusively for three years, which is sadly restrictive. Seeing the examples and different methods really has helped bring clarity, probably enough for me to dust off a deck.

Thought i would look and see if some of the dates work against this GT, and was surprised:

17th I made decision to flit- rider in house of stork, and flowers says the decision would have a good outcome.

18th moon in the house of dog, I moved in with my friend it was a last minute decision, paths in the house of paths show that, owls, ship show the move too and the arguments.

25th coffin, I am feeling tired so it is the transformation, and the coffin house is showing the child which is about new beginnings, and anchor shows a new stability is coming, confirmed by tree in the house of anchor. Spiritual well being is also mentioned here with the tree, and fish in the house of the tree.

Today is the snake, which also showed up in my daily reading . snake is in the house of the book, so i will learn something or i find out a secret thats spiritual or regarding a woman who is dark haired or dark in general. clover +heart+sun follow that so thats a good ending, also the snake could be me as Snake+lady shows up

I'm not too sure I'm confident enough to try the GT spread just yet, but we'll see. Thanks again.

I would like to give it a go, just nervousness. Probably a stupid question but do you find you need to do it on the 1st of the month? With lunar spreads using the tarot I’ve found that each phase is best done on the day, but if I were to do a GT for September due to work I’d rather do it this Sunday/Monday.

all of our answers are likely to be different, all of them right.
I personally say do it when you want, but focus on what time frame you want to, do it when you want and it feels right.
I like lunar patterns, but i dont think it matters when you cast it.

I casted mine the last day of July for August. I'll be doing the same this month for September ... the more you practice, the better you get! We wont bite too hard

Don't worry about whether you know how to do a GT well enough before you join in. We're all still learning. Whenever you feel ready, you're more than welcome.
