Perhaps this might be regarded out of place, but I need your help.

I have a letter sent from Charles Rosher to Ethell Archer and I cannot read several words. You can learn the background information of the letter from Perdurabo by Kaczynski pp.220-21.

I'd be very grateful if you help me. And I believe the letter might be interesting for it mentions A.C.

How about -

"hung"
"mercies"
"and Croydon"
"Soror"
?
"Faithfully"

It is "Soror [something]", I just can't make it out.

Oh, thank you very much, Ross! These hand-written things are sometimes difficult to read for me.

I'm having second thoughts about "Soror" as the reading...

I reckon it is Soror - Latin for sister, so why not ? Thus the fraternally at the end, too - works well. (oops - you meant the last one. No - I don't think that is Soror something either. I am starting to get a handle on that bit - give me a while...)

Yes, it's "Fraternally yours", not "Faithfully yours".

The second of those two last words is finis..... - wait - and I think maybe the first IS then soror.

Soror finis..... Sister, the end....

Could it be "Soror Tümi" or "Tüni"? The "u" has an umlaut, then. It would explain why there are two dots so close together, which is hard to find a suitable word for in English.

I've been looking at it too long - I'm starting to see "Stay ... in love and kind thoughts".

I can see "Finis", but I think he'd have crossed the middle of the F with a bar (a curl around from the top in the date line "Friday")

I think the capital letter at the beginning of the mystery word looks like the T in "Tuesday" on line 11.
