Salmon: if I or someone I know did not catch it : A) it is not worth eating and B) it is not free

ANother friend just dropped off a huge fillet! I will have to have a BBQ I guess for that one. I will do it on cedar.

EDIT: the difference between perfect salmon and over cooked is about 20 seconds! perfection is a must!

For scale that is a 4 litre measuring cup full of my coho batter.

I like that - sort of white pudding that comes with a cooked breakfast (truly, it does - sort of sponge/suet pudding effort that is definitely sweet, and you get it beside your bacon and eggs )
The overnight porridge is a childhood staple from my grandpa's house. He would add currents.

Much better than lutefisk. *gag*

It was a long time ago and it was made by nice Norwegian people we knew. I grew up in South East Alaska. I lived on salmon (and halibut). Always looking for new ways to eat the same old thing. I haven't had it recently.

Halibut is the king of fish for me. I NEVER grow tired of it. We call it steak of the sea. They grossly and unnecessarily shorted the sport season this year!

My boy is lost in Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters. Lots of reading text boxes, but he can always use the practice.

I'll be able to mail stuff on Monday!
