Funny, I don't get that at all - it does the cartomantic stuff well for me. I get that with the Blue Moon (which I just struggled to do a conventional reading from in an exchange) and much more so with the Rumi, which is just mysticism-on-legs. Without the legs.

Perhaps I should just quit whilst I'm ahead.

That looks like the newer, white bordered one to me. The black bordered decks are in a plastic case like a video box and from what I remember of mine it's a maroon / burgundy colour.

I had this deck for years (with black borders) and just never really used it. I tried but I just found the landscapes without people quite flat. It really didn't do it for me at all.

Apart from the VHS-style box, there's also one which has a small compact cardboard box into which fit (through a sideways opening) the cards, book and journal. The front of the box has a close up sky view from one of the cards with a bird (rook?) flying. I have his one.

Carla, it'll be the white bordered one as Sulis said. That green box only has the white bordered cards.

I'm so expecting an "out of stock, sorry" email...

I just bought a black border version that comes in a red box, looks like the video case style box. I bid on the one with book and journal but lost that bid.

I've been thinking of ordering this deck for a while. I think it might be nice for meditation. One reason I don't like to step into cards is because I don't like the idea of the people or animals or things in them talking to me. But I might like to step in and wander around a vacant landscape.

Just updating to let you all know that I was in Watkins Bookshop in London yesterday and the new reprint of the white-bordered version seems to be available again.

Yes, I see it available in different places again. It must have been a distribution hiccup OR (I'll check when I receive mine this week) a new edition/printing but with box unchanged.
