7 of Swords as what someone thinks of you
This can't be good can it? I pulled this card for a new person I've just met. :-( I did search the forum to see if other people had pulled this card for this situation before but the search facility doesn't work properly for me since the upgrade. What do you think, he thinks I'm sneaky or he's undecided? Funny, I thought I'd made quite a good impression as well! The deck does have the typical thief imagery as well - it even includes a magpie lol! |

The Thoth deck calls that card "futility". Sometimes I think of it in that way. That someone may want to be with another, knows it cannot happen, so it is futile to even think of it. __________________ ~empath111~ ღ~♥*♥ღ♥*♥~ღ |

A magpie eh? Did he wear his heart on his sleeve? Maybe it caught the sun just so... and you stole it? :-P |

As what someone thinks of you, the 7 Swords could indicate that person sees you as having a tactical mind or as being a prankster. The person may also see you as brave (a single person infiltrating an army camp). __________________ Smile. It makes people wonder what you're thinking.... |

I wouldn't write him off just yet - he might be impressed with your abilities and feel you've got the upper hand: claiming 5 out of the 7 Swords ain't bad! __________________ Dying is easy It's living that scares me to death ("Cold" - Annie Lennox) |

This person is guardet when it comes to you because she/he believe you are up to something not good. |

Judging by the card, I'd say this person doesn't trust you enough yet... I think we could see it in two different ways: Maybe this person sees you as "sneaky", not very sincere, etc; Or maybe that person is the one "sneaking" away from you because he/she fears something or thinks something's not very right. It's not the best card to appear of course, but it's not that bad either. You just have to prove this person wrong

The Seven of Swords can also be about planning and strategizing in order to move oneself forward...so, to take the high road here, maybe he thinks you simply don't put yourself "out there," instead, being the type who prefers to work behind the scenes on your own personal plans and schemes. Also, if you don't normally read with reversals, you may need to intuitively look at the "reversed meaning" of the card...and that might suggest he feels you give good counsel, and he appreciates your mind. He may feel he would like to know more about you at this juncture. __________________ I never bend, fold, or mutilate. Unless I'm in a hurry. |

Thank you very much everyone. I must admit that it does look as though he doesn't trust me but for the life of me I don't know where he's got that from lol! But then again I tend to take people at face value until they prove me wrong but not everyone is like that are they? Thanks again. |
