So excited, the Tarocco Soprafino is winging its way to me! Soooo gorgeous!! I found it on the alidastore site. It states there that it is one of the 2000 printed. What I don't understand is that I have seen it on ebay and etsy for 250 and 300 pounds? And various comments about it being hard to find? So does that mean that the deck I have purchased, (which is published by Il Meneghello) is not one of the 2000? Or is it that those commenting and selling are unaware that there are still copies of the original print available? (At a MUCH lesser price than they are demanding!) Or perhaps the lower the edition number the more valuable? |

Received a couple from the trade forum: Comparative Tarot and Esoteric Ancient Tarots Polyhymnia, I think with ebay and Amazon, as well, people will try to make a deck sound more rare than it really is. They will ask alot more than a deck is worth, in the hopes that someone doesn't know enough and is willing to pay big. Its a lovely deck. Enjoy it. __________________ What happens in the Trade Train Cafe stays in the Trade Train Cafe! `````````enjoying the exploration - savoring the journey````````` ````````````````Collecting - Gazing - Shuffling```````````````` |

![]() Yet another instance of me buying a deck - WHEN I KNEW BETTER!!! Oh, I promise in this new year that I WILL make better choices, at least with tarot decks. I have Tarot of the Ages on the way. __________________ We're here to put a dent in the universe. -Steve Jobs, entrepreneur and inventor (1955-2011) Last edited by tarot heart; 25-01-2012 at 14:19. |

My Daughters of the Moon Tarot arrived this morning. I bought it from Amazon Warehouse Deals... they sell damaged Amazon items at a reduced price. I've never had anything from them that was worse that a tiny bit scuffed. In this case, the box looks handled and has no shrink wrap (although the cards are shrink wrapped inside the box). Really, it's in effectively perfect condition. More seriously, the LWB is in German, a language with which I'm not sufficiently familiar to read an LWB. Perhaps I should buy a Daughters of the Moon book: "Mysteries of the Goddess" by Fiona Morgan can be had quite cheaply from the Book Depository. It may be kinder to say that sometimes Ebay sellers are a little careless. I've had no trouble in buying new tarots from Ebay shops. But I've twice bought secondhand packs from private Ebay sellers, and both of them arrived in damaged condition. Both sellers gave me no quibble refunds, and I definitely put the shortcomings down to carelessness, rather than mendacity or sharp practice. The Touchstone is most certainly worthy of a "Squee!" |
