Wildwood Tarot: 2 The Seer

GryffinSong

A woman stands before a huge stone vessel that is filled with water. One hand holds her staff of power, she holds the other, fingers spread, down toward the water. She wears a cloak of feathers around her shoulders and carries a medicine bag and various other small charms, including a little skull around her neck. Her hair is braided and a huge tree stands behind her. This card is the equivalent of the High Priestess in a traditional deck. She seems very wise and at one with her natural setting. This woman is the shamaness, the seer, the mystic feminine. Near the bottom of the card we see the same labyrinth that's in the World Tree card, and we can see that she sees everything that she needs to. Her ties to nature and to what IS are very strong. This is a woman with the power to see, to intuit, to express the divine feminine in a very earthy real way.
